Last week, 27 students from 7 schools across London joined us for our first ever online P&P Insight Day, in partnership with Access Aspiration. Students listened to firm and industry insights during a talk and Q&A with our Managing Partner, Business Crime Partner, Civil Of Counsel and Head of HR. The questions explored moral dilemmas, demystified court procedures, and uncovered tips on building confidence with advocacy.

Pupils were then joined by Partners, Associates, Paralegals, Trainees and Business Support individuals for some speed networking. Our P&P pairs Zoomed between breakouts sharing career stories, showcasing their roles, and answering quick fire questions on a range of topics. We were so impressed with the students’ enthusiasm and well-prepared questions.

We aimed to showcase the exciting careers available within a law firm, inspire confidence and raise aspirations; something the feedback suggests we achieved:

“I gained a lot of knowledge and I’m more confident with what I want to become” …. “It was so useful to hear from real life workers within a law field and it enabled me to broaden my mindset and see that there are a variety of things to do.. It was motivational as it showed me that I needed to work as hard as possible and persevere” …“it demonstrated different employment besides barrister/ lawyer in the legal sector.”
