Mariya Uzunova
Mariya is an Associate in our Fraud & Commercial Disputes team. Mariya specialises in advising clients on a wide range of complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes, with a particular focus on civil fraud, financial services and trust litigation.
Mariya has substantive experience in arbitration under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) rules. Her clients include corporate entities, such as funds and fund service providers, as well as high-net-worth individuals. Mariya has represented clients in high-profile claims in the High Court and the LCIA, which involved allegations of (among others) fraud, unlawful means conspiracy, and breaches of fiduciary duty. Mariya has also advised clients in relation to insolvency, oil and gas, and cryptocurrency disputes.
Mariya’s expertise extends to cases involving foreign legal systems, and as a native Russian and Bulgarian speaker, she has successfully handled numerous CIS-related disputes, including those involving Kazakhstani and Russian law.
