Peters & Peters represented a former partner in the Dubai office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, in relation to a private prosecution initiated an ex-managing director of Leeds United Football Club, alleging fraud and human trafficking. The firm obtained the dismissal of an application for summonses against the client on the ground that the proceedings were an abuse of process. The private prosecution was therefore avoided while still in its earliest stages.
