Peters & Peters enhances senior management team
Peters & Peters is delighted to announce that, from 1st October, Senior Partner, Keith Oliver will take up a new role as the firm’s Head of International with Michael O’Kane, current Head of Business Crime, becoming Senior Partner.
This change is driven by the increasingly international nature of the firm’s work, with Peters & Peters frequently leading high profile, complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions. Given its deep fraud-litigation UK heritage, the firm is ideally placed to co-ordinate large, complex, multi-jurisdictional criminal and civil fraud cases.
As Head of International, Keith, who has spent his career specialising in international disputes, will help to drive the firm’s international activity as part of the firm’s strategy for growth. He said “Being able to focus on leveraging the firm’s already established reputation overseas excites me. Our lawyers have a unique understanding of the complexity and effort involved in managing high profile, often very sensitive cases and I look forward to driving the firm forward internationally.”
At the same time, Michael O’ Kane will become the firm’s Senior Partner, taking over from Keith who has served as Senior Partner for 11 years. Michael has headed up the firm’s renowned Business Crime team for 7 years and is recognised as one of the world’s leading investigative lawyers. He was previously a specialist prosecutor at the CPS and since joining P&P in 2002 has led a wide range of business crime work, but is best known for his expertise in criminal cartels, economic sanctions, corruption and extradition on which his opinion is often sought, both by the media and the legal industry.
Michael, who will also take up his new post on 1st October said, “This is a very special law firm, with brilliant, industrious people doing incredible work within a relaxed, informal culture. To lead such a firm and help drive our long-term global strategies will be a great privilege. ”
