Partner Anna Bradshaw comments in the American Bar Association (ABA) Journal on the impact of a no-deal Brexit on criminal justice cooperation, concluding that “without access to these and other tools, the EU and the UK are less secure”. She points to the loss of UK participation in the European Arrest Warrant scheme and access to EU databases for exchanges of intelligence and cooperation requests, leaving UK law enforcement agencies dependent on access via remaining EU member countries – the geopolitical equivalent of asking a friend for his Netflix password.
