P&P “MOVEmber campaign” success
Following the success of our “MOVEmber campaign”, where we raised a total of £5,905 for our chosen charity – St Matthew’s project by collectively running, walking and cycling, the founder of the charity Lee has expressed his gratitude by saying, “On behalf of everyone at SMP, I’d just like to say how overwhelmed we’ve been by the support and generosity we’ve received from the staff at Peters & Peters. The fact that people have gone out of their way to help us with Movember during these difficult times, when everyone has enough worries of their own, has made it even more special. To be honest, initially, I was expecting a football kit and a few quid from P&P but the money we’ve received so far has been incredible and will make a huge difference. Thank you so much.”
Here’s how the money we have raised so far is being spent :
The charity have spent some of P&P’s prior £6,000 donation on a brand new kit for 16 players. They have also put some funding toward their new boxing programme, which they hope to kick off in February 2021; a valuable community activity. Our new donations will directly fund nutritious meals for their beneficiaries during the school holidays into 2021. SMP has provided this for over 5 years as an integral part of their offering for the families and young people they engage with. It will also go towards funding more long-lasting football kits and rain jackets for their teams this winter.
Below is a photo of some of the team wearing their brand new kits on their home turf of Brockwell Park, Brixton.
