eDisclosure & Investigations Counsel

Nick acts as eDisclosure & Investigations Counsel, supporting and assisting both the Business Crime & Investigations and Commercial Litigation & Civil Fraud teams handle complex digital evidence, provide guidance, and navigate related risks in connection with litigation, investigations, and public inquiries.

Originally a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand, Nick’s UK experience was first gained during an eight-year period at Ashurst, and more recently at predominantly large multi-national and trans-Atlantic firms.

Nick’s eDisclosure experience dates back to the mid-1990s, when responsible for managing a large document review team as part of a very early digitised disclosure exercise in a substantial group action claim. In the intervening period, he has acquired significant and varied experience working on high-profile eDisclosure and investigations exercises, involving product liability claims, financial services market manipulation, global white collar crime investigations in the aeronautical and defence sectors, and public inquiries.

Nick’s role at Peters & Peters involves him remaining current on the very latest technology relevant to early case assessment, disclosure/ discovery, investigations, compliance and related - including the very latest developments utilising Generative AI - to best ensure the most suitable and cost-effective solutions are adopted by the firm’s clients and then to support and assist throughout the disclosure and investigation process.
